Description
Parking is free at approximately 50 meters walking distance.
On the other side of the house is the center of the town. There is a supermarket, post office, bank etc. within walking distance.
Layout of the house:
Entrance / front door through the terrace of the neighbors (right of way).
Ground floor: kitchen living with TV, bathroom with shower and toilet.
1st floor: living room with PC, TV, DVD and CD player, wood stove and sofa bed.
2nd floor: bedroom with TV and sink. Wifi available.
The house measures 16 m2 per floor.

Revin is a place in the north of France on the Maas and is located in the French Ardennes. Revin is lying on the loops that the Maas makes there. At the first bend from the south, the Maas comes back almost at the same place.
Revin is located in the center of Europe. A circle of 350 km radius, with Revin in the middle, covers the most important cities of Northern Europe: close by: Reims, Brussels, Luxembourg, Lille, Liège. Then Paris, Nancy, Aix-la-Chapelle, Antwerp. Finally, Strasbourg and Amsterdam, and furthermore London and Frankfurt.
Revin has its own train station: from and to Paris and connection to the Belgian network. And Vireux-Molhain Givet, Ardennes offers a central position on the Calais-Basel line, between the coal basins of the North and the iron mines of Lorraine.
Along Revin a long, almost traffic-free, cycle route runs along the Maas called “Voie Verte”. In the Netherlands, the route was named “cycle route of the year 2008”. On the other bank there is a railway line with a lot of stations that make it possible to return to the starting point. The bicycle can be taken on the train for free.
At 6 km lies a large lake “Les veille Forge”, with sandy beach around it , free access, free P, free surveillance / surveillance in July and August. In Rocroi is an indoor swimming pool.
Nearest airport: Charleroi. There is a bus connection with Charleville-Mezieres.
In the cycling world, Revin is known for the Mont Malgre Tout, with its 7 hairpin bends.

Aanbeveling
Van 2 tot 13 juli 2020 ben ik in het huisje geweest en dat is goed bevallen. Het hoogbejaarde pandje is netjes opgeknapt en voorzien van alle hedendaagse moderne en goed werkende voorzieningen. Er is meer dan voldoende plaats voor 2 volwassenen. Eventueel zou daar een 3e bij kunnen of 2 (kleine) kinderen.
De omgeving is aantrekkelijk: men kan hier volop wandelen of fietsen. Ook een dagtochtje met de auto in de omgeving is een aanrader.
Kortom: Kan, mede gezien de billijke prijs, dit huisje aanbevelen voor een kort of wat langer verblijf.
Tot rust komen
Vier weken hebben we genoten van de wandelingen en de uitzichten, telkens weer verrassend. Voor ons waren deze vier weken een periode om sober te leven en tot rust te komen en dat is uitstekend gelukt. Februari is daar wel goed geschikt voor. Het weer was prima, zon en soms een bui en een dag sneeuw. Het huis heeft alle faciliteiten en ligt prachtig aan de Maas.
Genieten in de winter aan de Maas
Een weekend lang hebben we genoten van het huisje en de omgeving. Het huisje is voorzien van (meer dan) alles wat je nodig hebt en is prachtig gelegen aan de Maas. We hebben alle soorten weersomstandigheden meegemaakt van kraakheldere blauwe luchten boven de dichte mist in het Maasdal tot sneeuw. Wandelen is prachtig in het gebied en de lokale bakkertjes verkopen elke dag vers brood. De communicatie met Elise verliep goed en vriendelijk en zorgde voor een zorgeloos weekendje weg.
